Kate Whitehead

Parent Governor

Kate joins us a parent governor, with her oldest son having just started in year 7. An ecologist by background she now works to improve children’s access to nature and understanding of the environment in and out of the school day.  In her day job with Natural England she is responsible for collating the evidence around the benefits of time outside in nature as part of the school day which includes better pupil attendance, attainment and behavior as well as supporting their, and their teachers wellbeing. Working alongside Department for Education, OCR and others Kate is involved in a range of changes to national environmental policies in education settings.

In her spare time Kate is kept busy by her two boys, dog, cat and chickens, she loves gardening and time outside canoeing, sea swimming and walking.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
