Janette Yaxley

Staff Governor

Janette is an English teacher here at Stalham High, having joined the English department in the summer term of 2023. As well as being a member of the teaching staff at Stalham, Janette also has a daughter at the school and lives in the local area.

Before coming to Stalham High, Janette taught English at Caister Academy for 13 years. Prior to qualifying to teach, Janette studied English Literature and Creative Writing at UEA, followed by a masters degree, also in Creative Writing. After graduation, Janette worked in a number of support roles in schools, including as a Gifted & Talented Mentor and as a Learning Support Assistant in Norfolk schools.  This naturally led into a career in teaching, where she hopes to pass on her love of reading and creativity to others.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
