Our Vision and Values

Stalham High School_21 (54)

Our Vision is to Inspire, Educate and Empower our students.

We believe that having school values will support us to achieve our vision. Stalham High School values are personal and community responsibility, ambition for ourselves and others, respect and working together!

Personal and Community Responsibility

We believe that every member of our community has a responsibility to help create and sustain a climate for learning that benefits all of us. We each have a role to play in contributing and preserving the school's culture and physical environment. We consider the impact of our choices on ourselves but also those around us too. We all have a responsibility for our own safety and the safety of others.

High Ambition for ourselves and others

Every child should feel supported by their peers and their learning community to engage fully in everything that school life has to offer. We need students to try, to be prepared succeed without fear of failure, and willing to respond to feedback in order to improve and progress. We celebrate each other's achievements and take inspiration from those around us. We encourage students to think more, read more, do more and be more.

We believe that universally encouraging other people to achieve their best will go some way to creating a climate that supports them in their efforts to succeed.

Respect

As you can imagine, Respect is a fundamental aspect of most modern educational establishments, respect from peer to peer, respect from teacher to student and vice versa. However, we also value self-respect, respect for equality and diversity as well as respect and regard for the rule of law.

We firmly believe that all relationships in school need to be respectful and where that respect is mutual, it is more powerful.

Working Together

This is the value that keep us functioning and pulling in the same direction. Understanding that we are better than the sum of all of our parts if we can work cooperatively and effectively together.

Working together extends beyond the classroom, but into the corridor and beyond, even beyond the school gate and out into the community. Our parent's need to work together with school staff to support the school's aims, so that they can be realised for all of our students.

We support students to share and enact our values with the concept of 'The Stalham Way', a set of Stalham based routines which help all of us to remember how to behave and act in and around school.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
